For the seventh generation of this off trail benchmark the focus has been a significant improvement of comfort and softness, still without compromising the durability. Being on top of the World Orienteering Championships podium doesn’t mean you get to rest, at least not if you want to stay ahead. Upper material is in a bluesign® high abrasion PU with a protective TPU mudguard. The upper has a thinner construction than before and by reducing material in the flex zones there is a notable upgrade in comfort. The fitting has also seen some changes, where the lower cut collar and a new midfoot pattern have both reduced weight and improved the comfort. Otherwise it’s the same winning concepts as the previous versions. The heel cup is comfortably soft and has a depression in the center back in order to reduce pressure at the Achilles tendon. The closed-cell foam of the heel cup absorbs very little water (maximum 20 % increase when wet). The upper has a TPU mudguard for protection in rough terrain. The low sole profile and drop, together with a narrow racing last, optimize ground control, but yet it’s flexible to allow the foot to move naturally. The outsole provides outstanding grip, with innovative diagonal ridge pattern, that is enhanced to amazing with 14 integrated OLX carbide tip studs.
